When All You Can Books Is Think About 🤪

Hello out there 👋🏼 🤠

This is a repost, with a few alterations, in the name of romance, from my original author website. So, if it feels like dévà vu, it quite literally is, in the French meaning of the phrase 🥰

I chose to use today's post to talk about my love of reading. For much of my early adult life, I happily lived with an earring fetish only. (Make no mistake - I am still a prolific collector of earrings.) But I found room in both my heart, and my living space, for earrings, and books ❣️ 📚

I am never turning back. This is the life. As a lover of reading and writing, my love cooled off a bit, after secondary schooling. After talking to others about it, I found that they had the same experience because of reading tons of books in school, which they did not choose, and doing so involuntarily. Thankfully, I, like many others, was naturally drawn back to my love of books, and I also got the courage to have some of my work published 😊

I am not ashamed to say that the amount of time I spend every day reading a physical or electronic copy of a book, or listening to the audio version, borders on ridiculous. And if I am unable to read as much as that, you better believe I am wishing I could drop all of my adult responsibilities in order to have the privilege!!!

People feel the need to take jabs at me because of my reading habits. But I have been ridiculed for a lot less. So, I feel no shame. Quite literally, none at all.

And the day I do feel ashamed, I will bury myself in a book of my choosing, and promptly get over it!
